What is this, you ask? Well. It's a review on revues! It's a gander into the creative, moving spaces. It's thoughts on art and its manipulations. It's an unapologetic infodump on shit I just...like, like a lot.
And there is little I love more than a good show. Those that force your presence into lucidity, refusing to loosen its grip until it is done. You are a witness to an authentic self laid bare. You are in the space between the atoms, as they are created and before they are destroyed. The zeitgeist of it all, but mostly just the geist.
In other words, your art makes me wanna do mine. And I cannot help but meditate on all the delicious nuances of how performance art allows me to feel and connect to new ideas, as a fellow performer with a writing affliction.
In the lastest of words, this is a love letter to the best of the best performances in Savannah, GA, as I see it.
This is a separate newsletter from the usual kast/press content, I chose not to include my current subscribers automatically—as it felt icky to do so, without your consent. If you are interested in the above, please subscribe to this newsletter, in addition to your current kast/press sub, to receive this directly into your inbox.
First teaser coming soon.
