here we are,

'ol girl and our porch.

she's no worse for wear,

but she's been worn down.

-

but, a little blanket,

and a bit of love,

a trim here and ther e.

-

a leaf left

or kept forever

wooded stems laid bare

-

death pays no mind

while life springs from

matter(s) left behind.

-
